Finally, my first contribution to freesound. Org. I'd be interested to know where you use this. There was a single hornet airshow in kuopio harbour today. Recorded the whole seven to eight minutes long show in a relatively secluded location, so there is minimal to none audience in the recording. I left half a minutes of ambient recording to both ends of the recording. Recording device: sony pcm-m10recording format: 24 bit, 48. 0 khz, stereo pcm, wav.

This is a soundscape i made for a large scale art and oral history event for light night in liverpool. It was designed to create the texture of a working docks in liverpool in the 50's & 60's. Some of my sounds from a tascam dr-07 mkii. The sound of me walking up the steps to an office building in the city with traffic noise, then entering the door into the reception area. You can hear the sound change from outdoor to indoor. This was recorded in-person with a tascam dr-40 stereo recorder. Public domain: i have released this audio file into the public domain. It is free for anyone to download, modify, or use without my consent and without attribution - like all freesound audio files should be. Let me know if you found this sound useful. Enjoy!.

Patch on my doepfer a-100 modular synthesizer. Recorded in early 2015 using my google nexus 5 with a class-compliant audio-interface and the soundcloud app. I called it "babysteps" at the time. Denoised with audacity. Cut and normalized using ocenaudio. It's always nice to hear what projects you use these sounds for. Let me know. ;-). You can also check out my pond5 profile. Not just any thunder this! this is the spanish variety and anyone who has been around a spanish thunderstorm will know what i mean. This field recording was made from my villa and this is both rural and situated between two mountain ranges. So, you've got the thunder, the acoustics, the sound of the rain and the birds in the nearby trees. If you listen closely enough then you might hear the sound of the breeze through the palm trees. Recorded with twin directional mike pointing away from each other. . . For just about the best stereo separation you're going to get!.

An empty car of the metro of porto, portugal arrives at an aboveground empty station on a january morning in 2022. Recorded with a zoom h1n. This was a no-service subway stop so the doors did not open and there is no passenger noise. The audio travels from one side to the other as the metro passes because of the stereo mics. I've benefited a lot from cc by 0 recordings on freesound--i use them for my bandcamp projects. It would be fun to know what you did with this one.

Modular synth patch where two envelopes are involved in a chase. There could have been a rhythm, but i let chaos disturb theharmony. The triangle wave sounds are "distorted" in a wave rectifier. Kind of metallic sound? interesting. The kind of patch only an owner to a modular synth findany interest in. Maybe a little more interesting then theprevious sound. . . This has an ambient feel. Why?answer: different wave forms, changed envelopes and reverb. A lot of reverb. Do you find any use for some part of this sound let me know!the "ground/root pith" is 122hz. . . Almost a b. . . But not really. I tune my oscillators without caring about "real" tones. The quantizer makes the steps between tones.

I would upgrade my cabin if this was the noise i had to live with. Through film we - know - the space ship background noise. A freighter or a battleship - more noise. Enemy ship even more and strange. . . My noise is from a budget cabin. This is just a background noise. Listen at low volume. This is my submission fordisquiet junto project 0383: interstellar ambiencethe assignment: record the sound of an apartment on a large interstellar ship. I've benefited from freesound in the past so i wanted to give something back. I created this audio sample of the black speech of mordor (a section of the ring poem), as part of a cinematic orchestral lord of the rings piece to add flavour to it and wondered if others might find a use for it in their own projects. The sample does have added reverb but to my ears this is not excessive. The phrase is:-. Ash nazg durbatulûk,ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatulûkagh burzum-ishi krimpatul. This translates to:-. One ring to to rule them allone ring to find themone ring to bring them alland in the darkness bind them. No attribution required but it would be nice to know if anybody uses it. ;-).

88 piano keys, long natural reverb: up to 13 seconds per note. This is me giving back. I love freesound. You guys saved my bacon back in the day. Recently i searched for free piano notes for a game i'm making, but the only ones i could find ended too quickly. I need long reverb! luckily i have an old piano, so i made my own. So this is me giving back. This is an old piano!!!. We had the piano tuned a year ago, but it is well over 60 years old, so be warned! these notes have character! if you want perfect tone, either edit them individually, generate something artificially, or buy a professional set. But if you want a piano with personality, this is for you. Being an old piano, it only has 85 keys. So i created the highest 3 notes by speeding up previous notes, to make the modern standard 88 keys. How the notes were created. The notes are created on an old (well over 50 years) steinhoff upright piano. It only has 85 keys, so i faked the highest 3 keys by taking previous keys and changing their pitch. I opened the top, balanced my trusty everesta bm-800 condenser microphone across the top near the high note end, and held down the "loud" pedal. Each note was then hit and kept pressed down until i could no longer hear any reverb. Notes were saved as mp3 using my laptop, using free sound recorder on the highest quality settings. Yeah, i know it isn't flac, but i am strictly amateur with budget to match, and that was the best i could do. After that, all editing was of course uncomopressed until the final save. How the notes were edited. Editing was kept to a minimum, mainly to enhance the reverberation. All editing took place on audacity on linux mint. First i cropped any silence from the start. Next, used the envelope function to gradually increae volume to 200% over a couple of seconds. That is, the quietest part of the reverb is twice as loud as you might expect. Because for my game i sometimes need a single piano key to last ten seconds. Next i maximised the volume. If there was just a single stray waveform that stuck out then i reduced that by 2db or so then maximised again. Because like i said, i want to hear that reverb! i then found the part where background noise starts to be noticeable, and faded out over 1 second or so. This meant that the lowest notes had as much as 13 seconds of reverb, whereas the highest notes might only have 2 or so. Finally i checked the result, and edited three or four notes that i felt were just too ugly (badly tuned, or for some reason the software suddenly got hissy when the note became too quiet. Weird. ) i also slightly changed the pitch of a couple of notes that were slightly out of tune but otherwise ok. No doubt a better ear than mine could teak all of the notes. But as i said, it's an old piano and we're keeping it real. Finally, files were compressed to ogg at the highest quality setting, using soundkonverter. Why not flac?. I live in the countryside with very slow broadband, so i apologise for including more of the original files. But as it was, uploading this zip file took about an hour. Enjoy. Legal. Use this for anything you want, commercial or not, credit me or not. Consider it public domain. My main concern is that i had completely legal sound for my game, with nice long reverb and character. Uploading it here provides proof that i created it first, just in case anybody comes back and says "those are mine" (it happens).

Sound effect - bass rumble tension rise (wind river movie). I've looked for this particular bass tension builder sound effect from the movie wind river since it came out!! if you've seen that film and you're familiar with the "standoff" scene, then you'll probably know what sound effect im referring to. . . In the background of that most intense ever scene of all time is this bass rumble or tension builder that gives me goosebumps every time i watch it! i've wanted the original pretty bad because its the best suspense builder(bass rumble) sound ive ever heard! although it doesn't seem to exist online even for purchase. So i tried to recreate it myself! im a movie scene editor all the way, but im less than amature at audio editing, so please excuse the flaws. There are 3 versions in this mp3. All with different tones, speed, and other details trying to recreate as best i could.

This is a very small part of a song of mine called cyanean rocks. I used. Tempo: 140 bpmsguitar: prs se santana - guitar strings: ernie ball rps 10 slinkybass: vst cobra satin - bass strings: 3 vst, 1 fenderamp: yamaha thr 10 - select aco,a gentle amount of chorus & delayprogramms: fl8, wavelab 6drums: dw, tama. I do not tune my guitar and bass with the standard tuning. Veiler's personal tuning for guitar. Mi bass -remains-> mi bassla -becomes-> sol thin string - it is a sol string like the classic solre -becomes->do# the closest to re stringsol -remains-> sol, and it is exactly the same with the upper sol- buy extrasi -becomes-> do# the closest to si stringmi cantini -remains-> mi cantini. You must perform intonational adjustment to the bridge saddlesif your guitar has permanent bridge saddles - it sounds like ass. If you don't know what intonational adjustment of the bridge saddlesgo ask a guitarist because you are not - even if you say so. [we fix the harmonics - we focus in the octave tuning usually usinghex key = allen key]. In some guitars we may have to fix the harmonics once a month. If you don't know anything, search it on wikipedia. You have to throw away the la string. You have to purchase an extra sol to replace the unused la string. If you don't understand that, please don't speak to me, i hate idiots. Effects: phase deleting 25 ms of the right channel(if you destroy a critical drum-attack remix it to the right channel). Please brush your teeth!!!.

I'm attempting to create a controllable thunderstorm for a film, and this is my first legitimate attempt. This recording consists of 4 samples of rain, and another 3 samples of rain+thunder that i recorded one afternoon. Equipment used was the inbuilt mics on a roland r-26, and a sennheiser me66 into a sound devices 702. The clips were recorded at 96khz/24-bit, and they were processed at 48khz/24-bit. For processing, i put the samples into kyma, and crossfaded for texture. The howling wind sound is an analog-style low pass filter's frequency, level, and resonance being controlled by a wacom intuos4 pen/tablet. The rain slowly swells, which was done by changing parameters of a granular reverb. The thunder was also controlled by the wacom tablet, with x, y, and z (pressure) dimensions mapped to making the thunder swell in level, density, and texture. This could have been output in surround, but i don't have that many monitors ;). This style of "rain-synthesis" can also go on indefinitely. Please let me know what you think of the quality of this track; eg, if it sounds real, if the wind sounds ridiculous, too much thunder, etc. Use this sound (wherever) if you want to, or let me know if you'd like an mp3 of this, or for it to last longer. I'd like some credit if you do use it, but it's no big deal. A blog is up explaining the method of creation here:http://www. Kylehughesaudio. Com/2/post/2013/02/tempest. Html.

After searching the vastness of the interweb for some 6 inch zilbel samples with no luck, i finally decided to record my own bell. Theres 3 versions of 4 single samples each, 4 chokes, 4 medium and 4 hard hits. I know a lot of you out there have been searching for some samples of one of these bells for a long time so here ya go guys, totally free, full to use for whatever you want, no credit needed to be given to me. These sound amazing in a mix and really add a lot of life to your drum tracks, they dont sound over compressed (theyre dry recordings) and they dont over power everything else, nice crisp and clear. Ding away my friends!.

As with my other sounds, i prefer quality over quantity. Here is another sound file that i developed over a couple of days. Similar to ss's pulse cannons, this one features a military battle featuring tanks, helicopters, jets, and strafing runs using high caliber chainguns. A lot of explosions and rocket fire is heard as well, and the audio is a bit loud. Sounds edited in audacity, some sounds recorded irl using my dslr camera system, the mixing was done using filmora9. The freesound files used is listed in the sound sources, rest is what i used online and irl. I did this out of boredom while playing shooter games, since i'm working with 3d modeling i'm getting back into making my own sounds for my games. This one is free to use with credit, and with the right editing software you can change the volume if needed. Feel free to let me know if anything needs changing, or if you want a audio commission!. <3. [the quality in freesound's website player doesn't fully show the amount of audio details. It'll clear up and have much more depth when downloaded. ].

Your stereotypical wind chime sound effect. Used a lot for transitions into dream sequences and flashbacks in movies and films. I took a very fast recording of someone hitting some orchestral chimes, slowed it down by over 200% and added some harmonic excitement and equalization in post production. Tools used:- usb logitech microphone (no lies, seriously used this $10 mic)- fl studio 12 by image line- vitamin by waves- dynamic eq by izotop. If you'd like me to edit or create any additional sounds for your project, please let me know. I'd be happy to help.

Some sounds of blowing across the top of a glass bottle. Specifically a 33cl cider bottle. :-). Captured using a rode nt5 small-diaphragm condenser microphone and a zoom h5 recorder. Basic editing in ocenaudio, also applied some slight de-reverberation. I intend to record a proper version later on, including different articulations at various pitches. But that may take a while. In the meanwhile these samples might be useful for some sound design. One more thing. It's always nice to hear back from you. What projects did you use these sounds for?please let me know. ;-).

This was made on ableton with nexus. It's a basic chord progression with a drone note. Gives me a super relaxed feeling when set with the beach or something. It's a looped progression but i made it long enough for you all to do a lot with it. Key: ctempo: 70 bpm. Let me know if it's good, or if you all want more. Should be cool to see what you all do with it; put up a link to share with everyone else your amazingness. . . Or don't. Much love. If you would like to support and buy me a coffee: https://www. This is the soundscape i've recorded in my neighboorhood of cidade tiradentes, a district from são paulo, brazil. We name these events as pancadão (big punch) or fluxo (flow). When a flow occurs, you know that the sound is very high and it invades all surroundings. It happened in april 4, 2021, during our worst period in the the global covid-19 pandemic. Plent of people, vehicles, multiple speakers and so on in a street. I'm writing in the exact moment police came to repress, but in my conclusion only education can solve city problems, not repression, not paliative atitudes. I think this is interesting to share it here, as a cultural manifestation, showing that when the state fails, everyone fails. This is disrespectful at all, but i try to look it as a construction of city. In a country where its president goes for a for a swim at a crowded beach amid 200 thousand pandemic deaths, how can i criticize suburban people?. I'm not conservative, i like the kind of music playing known as"brazilian funk" or "funk carioca", this is our culture, even if i do not participate actively. Plot twist: i was working in a asmr video. *-*. Recorded in mp3 320 kbps, using a zoom h1n and compressed in ableton live to bring on the dynamics.

(recorder: zoomh4npro 2018)(microphones: binaural roland cs-10em in-ear monitors). As these are recorded using binaural in-ear mics, i purposefully attempt not to turn my head to keep the sound clean and coming from the same direction. Of course, if you don't want binaural audio you can always easily convert to mono. This is a recording of me approaching a soda machine in my apartment complex, swiping my credit card in the new, handy-dandy credit card slot, and dispensing a coke zero (in case you really needed to know). Safe for all production as it is voice free. I kept the peaks very low to maintain a natural sound. Enjoy!. Christopher c. Courter.

This, my dear friend, is ils - infinitely loud silence. Play some other sounds and then play this, and you'll know why i call it this way. It's created by a bug present in lmms, a free program for electronic music production. Actually this sample can't reproduce the ils phenomenon, that creates a dc offset so big, that it outnumbers any other signal getting out of the same audio interface and the result is silence. It's a silence that is masking other sounds. Mind-boggling. Nasty bug. All this sound can do is cause some distortion, probably because 24-bit sound can be only as loud as 0db. 32-bit floating point should be able to get louder, but still i don't think any sample file would be able to reproduce this product of error.

I was awakened at about 3 am by a local thunderstorm. It was raining softly and lightning came regularly. I recorded over 4 minutes of it from my front porch using an iphone and added recording app, and nothing else. This file is unmodified. A young backpacker is walking along a country road but is kidnapped and bound. When caged, he comes to the realization that his mountain-dwelling captors are practicing cannibals. After escaping his bonds and getting out of the makeshift cage, he silently slips from the campsite into the hills, and after picking his way around rocks and waterfalls and through miles of forest, he is hopelessly lost. He sits and rests, then, alone in darkness and a summer thunderstorm. All he has other than the clothes on his back is a folding pocket knife. When you make it and it wins at cannes, let me know.

I put this together on a whim, having fun. It's mindless, i know. It so happened i'd just listened to an excellent rendition of the washington post march, a seemingly appropriate masterpiece by john philip sousa. Appropriate in 1889, that is. Https://youtu. Be/mxrh1crmmty. Today we don't seem to be doing quite that well. Few realize that the u. S. Government doesn't have enough money to support your grandma's left tit, and the trillions in the budget are taxes on the expected earnings of our great-great-great grandchildren. This year alone we'll add another "great" to that. It seems no one can agree on anything, social media decides what you can say publicly (or never be heard), and very nearly every power-drunk politician is interested only in acquiring or retaining said power. Our ideological mismatch is something to be exploited. Divided, we be easier to control. It's intentional. Absolutely. So, i submit this particular ditty as representative of the current state of affairs in the untied states. Misspelled on purpose. 1889, it is not.

The sound of the bottom of a ceramic mug, dragged over the metal grating of a coffee machine. It sounds like a sword drawn from a scabbard. Recorded using a zoom h6 in the kitchen. Applied a filter to remove unwanted low and very high frequencies. Also corrected the volume level to adjust all four recordings to the exact same level. There are some minor distracting noises - i assume from my shirt while moving the mug over the surface. Also a fan is very faintly audible in the background. If you are interested in a very clean recording of this sound, please let me know.

His father was a slave & as a childat the tender age of 10, he was teased and abusedby 2 new york police officers, an instance of the racistharassment by the nypd that he would experience againas a teenager and document in his essays. Why isn't his history & discours teached at school ?. Anno 2020, i learn to know him & his eloquent rhetoricalcapabilities through the also fenomenal moving & breath-takingperformance of tawiah + myrrh for the refraction festival, takingplace online of course, due to the ever infamous covid-19. . . An audiovisual délice, in which visual artist myrrh, places tawiahin subtle superposition with james baldwin & his 1965 debate with mr. Buckley ! in the cambridge union ! !! ! ! ! while performinglive one of the most delicate concerts i have seen during corona. . . A must see+hear _ _ _ https://www. Youtube. Com/watch?v=h5l2lssdzro. Being totally absorbed by this performance, i discover as an artist myselfone of the reasons i bind so much with this piece of music is that i myselflike to use the same harmonies, apparently, which i did indeed in 2015https://soundcloud. Com/torturado/eternal-void-the-fall-back& in the mid nineties, that is 1990's. . . A long forgotten piece of me, performed that time during my ritcs studies, as my band torturado, no recordings from then helas online, but gracias a la discovery of tawiah+myrrh & james baldwin picked up again what i remembered from that time & made a 2020 version of it. . . A small visual document of this: https://vimeo. Com/450004585. As from the moment, i discovered james baldwin, i integrated also his powerful 1965 debate in my performances during covid times. . . To spread his word ! to inspire others, to confront others. . . I told myself covid or corona is not going to stop me playing & performing music, which comes natural to me, so i looked for ways to perform outside, in plain nature, with batteries. . . Guitars, 9v fx, fx without 9v compartment, battery based amplifiers, battery based kassette walkmans. . . & it is on kassette that i put an edited full version of the james baldwin vs buckley debate of 1965. . . For this exercice of the sound design formation, we had to upload a sound that intrigues, well, james baldwin eloquent voice, litteral & metaphorically inspired & triggered me. . . Also the sound of electro-magnetic technology called tape is something i have always been fond of. . . So i made an edit of an edit of the james baldwin debate of +- 10 minutes !. Spread the word !a+. Actually this could also serve the exercice of recording a sound that comes from a certain place, or is part of a bigger thing , or personificates a certain place. . .

A summer evening in a vineyard by the german town of freyburg on unstrut. The recording abounds with natural background noises (wind in trees, birds, insects). In the foreground, a little bird is singing, giving it all it has. I am no bird expert, but if somebody knows what species it is, i'd love to know. At 3:22 into the recording, the tower bells of the keep of neuenburg castle, located on the hill opposite, toll 9 o'clock. They do this by tolling a high bell 4 times, once for each quarter of the full hour, followed by a lower bell tolling the hour 9 times. The recorder is located on the top of the vineyard, facing across the valley between vineyard and castle. These are the rear channels of a 4ch surround recording. Recording conducted with a zoom h2, mic's set to 120° dispersion.

The sound of an electric car being plugged in and recharged. The clip starts with the car's recharging flap being opened from inside the car, then fully opened by hand, then the plastic socket cover being opened, then picking up the charging connector and plugging it into the car. There is some clicking as the electric vehicle's cooling fan turns on for a short while. This was recorded in-person with a tascam dr-40 stereo recorder at a small, suburban farm. Public domain: i have released this audio file into the public domain. It is free for anyone to download, modify, or use without my consent and without attribution - like all freesound audio files should be. Let me know if you found this sound useful. Enjoy!.

Original file name: wah whistle suspense bees - 30 september 2012specs: demo at 120 bpm, stereo, 48000 hz, 24 bit, wav formatdescription: created the sound using the thor polyphonic synthesizer in propellerheads reason. Sounds weird when played in isolation, but sounds decent when played as an arp or melody. I have included the "c" note spanning 7 octaves in case the samples need to be loaded into a sampler. Sample pattern: demo | c0 | c1 | c2 | c3 | c4 | c5 | c6. Contact (pm) me if you want any changes to this sample (please include freesound sample number 166169). You can use this commercially with proper crediting, but please let me know where and how you use it - seeing this used will really make me happy. :).

This ambience was recorded on zoom h6 with msh-6 mid-side stereo mic capsule. Recording was edited and decoded. Mic was positioned right in a frame of an open window so that it won't get flood from a heavy rain and pick up much room reflections. My flat where i recorded from was on 4th floor. There was a busy street 50m far from the apartment building itself, a bit further there was a park. Rain at that night was heavy. Also you can hear several heavy thunder hits of various distance throughout the whole recording. Hope this recording will help to enhance the sound of your next project. Please, let me know if it did so!.

Ok, i don't know how many of you might be interested in this, but i figure there's no harm in posting it. I'm working on some original songs. Laptop-based, electronic songs, with many orchestral parts, including violin, viola, cello, and string bass. Presonus studio one has some very nice vst string instruments, and i have some really great ones for kontakt. But they all are missing one thing, and i couldn't find the (admittedly esoteric) sound that i'm looking for anywhere on the internet. Being a viola player myself, i recorded myself playing these very particular incidental sounds. Let me explain-. There's this 'grabby' sound that a well-rosined bow makes just is it is first being drawn across the string. Listen carefully to any of the pros and you'll hear it. In your laptop sequences, if used subtly, right at the point where the first note of a phrase is initiated, this sound can give the string part a marked sense of realism*. This, combined with vibrato, reverb and a nice warm/tube/tape saturation setting, nobody will be able to tell the difference between your vst and the real thing. About the audio-i tried to keep them as pitchless as possible, thus not limiting their utility. I recorded two sets of all four open strings (c, g, d, a), first close mic'ed, and once from a few feet away, in stereo. Or to say it another way, the sounds are as follows-1. Open c close2. Open g close3. Open d close4. Open a close5. Open c far6. Open g far7. Open d far8. Open a far. It's totally overkill for me to record all the different versions, but i suppose somebody out there might find one more appropriate than another for their purposes. They work pretty effortlessly for violin and viola, but you might have to pitch them down for cello and string bass. I added no processing whatsoever, apart from normalizing each individual sound. Aiff, recorded at 44/16. Nady scm-2090 stereo condenser mic, focusrite saffire pro 24 interface, recorded in logic. Not the quietest room, but these sounds will be so far down in the mix that it won't matter. Free for all to download, no attribution necessary. Http://www. Freesound. Org/people/bruce%20burbank/sounds/220917/. As an example, here's the part i'm working on that motivated me to record these sounds, with the grabby sound in place. See if you can spot the three times i used it. *pro tip- much the same way i'll insert an inhale breath right before horn or oboe phrases.

This is a reading from the second chapter of "nathaniel's nutmeg: or, the true and incredible adventures of the spice trader who changed the course of history", by giles milton. It is also intended for the freesound sound museum to represent books as what is fading rapidly into obsolescence. By the time you read this, you may not even know what a books is. Books are when the written word is compiled onto sheets of paper in a long-form volume. You may not know what paper is. Paper is commonly used to write on or make oregano cranes with, being flat and thin rectangles made from trees. You probably won't remember what a tree was. That is a very sad thing. They are all gone now, destroyed in feckless deference to paper. When the paper runs out, there will be nothing left to write our collective histories on, what we desperately need. When this occurs, it will stand as the moment our past was truly lost, leaving us lost the same, drifting in circles. Until another man or woman rises up to invent trees again, thus beginning the cycle anew. It's a beautiful idea. We should always be moving towards the future, not lost in syrupy memories of old forests not seen for what they really are: petrified wood and amber. Leave that with the other fossils and relics. Let it be the final page written on the last book until it crumbles to dust. Let it go. The file was recorded using a mid/side stereo technique at 24bits, downsampled to 16bits under the loving care of gaussian dither. The room was treated as best i could to be acoustically pleasing and quiet. I think you will find the noise floor to be particularly well balanced and textured, suitable for post-production tasks, or just for relaxing with at home. .

Hi. This is a loop of aurora colorado'sold whelen wps-3016 system test. The city had 3016's, and wps-2810's. They did the wail tone for 3 minutes, and the whoop tone for 30 seconds. This is a one sycle loop of the wail tone. You can hear the other sirens in the system in the background, as well as some very excited dogs that where barking during the whole test. I don't know the exact location of this siren. Also, the system has been removed and replaced with new whelens a couple of years ago. They had a yellow wps-3016 in the sistem hope you like it. I'll get a loop of the whoop tone soon. If you download this, or any of my other sounds for that matter, and use it in your production or any other thing, then please give me good credit. Thanks, and good bye.

[[this sound pack contains 8 sounds total, and this is # 4 of 8. ]]. Note: this sound (as all my sounds on freesound. Org are) is **public domain**. Use it, sell it, do anything and everything with it. No need to credit me. I only hope it's useful for someone! however, i'd love to hear about any projects you use my sounds with!!. Abstract, creepy sounds i recorded after watching this video on hans zimmer's creation of the score to the original dark knight soundtrack:. Https://www. Youtube. Com/watch?v=r-l1rctgtoe. (fascinating video, give it a watch! :d). - i found an old rusty razorblade (if it ain't rusty it ain't emo, amiright? amiright? oh god that's in poor taste)- and just started scraping it over the copper-wound strings of my seagull s6 acoustic guitar in which i've installed an electronic pickup. - recorded into reaper on my mid-2014 macbook pro, via direct in through a zoom h4n in audio-interface mode. Only processing: gentle eq highpass at 95 hz. And some slight gain reduction. These sounds remind me somehow of creepy film scores where the strings do that erratic pizzicato thing that sends tingles up your spine. Tell me what you come up with, i'd love to know!!.

Save A Little Dram For Me song from United States prohibition era. MEDIUM: 1 sound disc : analog, 80 rpm ; 10 in. CREATED/PUBLISHED Orange, N.J.: Edison. Lyrics: (spoken) In the middle of the sermon, Parson Johnson rose and started sniffing the air. There was a peculiar smell tricklin’ up the parson’s nose. That told him that gin was ‘round somewhere. And he closed his Bible gently in the middle of the psalm and started figurin’ mentally where that smell was coming from. His eyes scanned every pew, and then he did declare, he says “I announce this meetin’ through… (sung) …until you kick in with my share.” Oh Bretheren if you want more preachin’ Save a little dram for me. Glory hallelujah Why drinkin’ gin ain’t against my teachin’. Treat me with equality. (spoken) From this here smell it’s very plain to see That somebody here’s been holding out on me. (sung) For Bretheren if you want more preachin’ Save a little dram for me. (spoken) Now when they passed the bone dry law, I was the very first to say that it never would stay And neither did I think the law could regulate our thirst. That’s why I’ve got some stored away. Now since prohibition’s got us drinks is few and far between. Of all the stingy brothers you’re the worst I’ve ever seen. But I insist on my share. Don’t say it’s all run out Or else you’re going where-- You know that bad place I been preachin’ ‘bout? (sung) For Bretheren if you want more preachin’ Save a little dram for me. Glory hallelujah Why drinkin’ gin ain’t against my teachin’. Treat me with equality. (spoken) I’ve shared your joy and I’ve shared your sin And believe me brothers I’m gwine to share your gin. (sung) For Bretheren if you want more preachin’ Save a little dram for me. Українська: «Збережи для мене трохи драм», пісня з епохи сухого закону США, випущена в 1922 році.

This file was recorded on november 19 2013 at london's euston railway station quite close to the arrivals board. It was achieved using an olympus ls-100 digital recorder with cad m179 microphones attached to a jecklin disk (see wikipedia) to obtain the best sound possible. As opposed to quasi-binaural recordings where the user attaches small diaphragm microphones to his/her shirt collar (my usual recording method), the jecklin disk can be mounted on a semi-fixed object such as a floor-standing microphone stand which it was in this case, and left for a few moments for the best possible outcome. Using a jecklin disk means that there are no minute movements from a person trying to stand as still as possible, and for some unknown reason, this setup is able to differentiate in front and behind sound image although i personally do not know why this is the case.

The "concrete cello" pack is a collection of scraping, scratchy and droning improvisations on the cello focussing on the creation of sounds to be used as base materials for future compositions. They were originally recorded in 2019 to be used in as sound design elements for the documentary "hotel regina" by director matthias berger for which i composed the music. Part of the impetus of this sampling session was to create cello sounds that would be remiscent of construction machines. (if you look on the geotag you can see the machines, well, sort of). You can listen to the score here :https://doubleblindrec. Bandcamp. Com/album/regina-hotel. These are the close-micced mono raw studio recordings. Neumann u87 into a wa273 and a rme ufx. Recorded by barbara samla at studio aktis in france. Sounds are cco, use them as you will!(but feel free to let me know in what : it's always nice to find out!).
